it just hit me that my cousin is now going to tell the rest of our (she's on my mom's side) immediate/extended family about me not getting the job and why. i know for a FACT that she's going to yap when the rest of the family gets together, and that's probably soon because they do family gatherings a LOT. i thankfully won't be there because my mom doesn't really talk to her family much (they're kinda to each their own, help yourself before others, even if it's your own family. i don't care much for them either tbh). i feel like i indirectly did my cousin a big favor because she could've gotten in trouble, or worse, fired, if i had stayed quiet. god forbid i try to do the right thing, and it wasn't even some grand gesture. i legit was just trying to follow procedure so that the whole process stays professional and clear or whatever, in case this one slip up didn't affect my chances of getting the job anyway (sadly it did). sorry i'm a just a naive little rule follower, i guess.
