It really doesn't do any good to be a people pleaser. In my case especially if it's your family. I went out on a hot ass day they said get this thing blah blah blah or it could wait to next time. I was good enough to go look for it. All I get in return is grumbles. I really don't get the credit I deserve for going out of my way to help people and make them happy. I don't see them doing that for me. Much anyway. I'm bout to quit. It's like a job, if they dont appreciate you why bother giving 100 percent effort. That seems to be the morale these days.
