I've had feelings for a girl for a long time and genuinely saw a future with her. We talked for 4-5 hours, and I expected her to tell me I'd misread everything. Instead, she told me she liked me too, loved me, and noticed the way I looked at her with admiration. Nothing happened because she wasn't ready for another relationship. I gave her time, but when I finally wanted to ask her out, she had someone else. She has a boyfriend now, and nothing will happen between us while they're together. Her relationship apparently isn't great, and a part of me wishes she'd leave him, but I refuse to pressure her or make her choose. I would have preferred hearing she never liked me. At least then I could move on knowing I was wrong. Now I know the feelings were real, but I'll never know what we could have been. I still love her, and if she were single tomorrow, I'd give us a chance without hesitation. I hate that I finally got the answers I wanted, yet somehow moving on feels even harder.
