It hits hard seeing people make excuses for the actions of teenagers and blaming their parents for it when I was blamed and held accountable for my actions since I was a toddler. Every mistake I made, every thing I did wrong, was because I was a bad child and it was all my responsibility. And it was. Ever since I learned to walk and talk, everything I have ever done has been my responsibility and my fault. Kids now... never their fault. No, it's the parent's fault for not raising them right. But who raised the parents? "They're adults, they're responsible" yeah no not all parents are adults... Or the kid "can't help it" because they have autism and / or ADHD. SO DO I !!! Obviously I went undiagnosed until my late 20s because everyone assumed I was just spending my entire life trying to be difficult. Sorry but what normal toddler hits her head until her nose bleeds? I wish people had given me the same grace they give others.
