So I’ve got a pretty big friend group, with all kinds of dynamics. I like and enjoy the company of most of the people there, but there’s this one person the pisses me the FUCK off. I don’t know what it is about them that just annoys me, and it is making me insane. I know some of the others don’t like them very much, but am I the only one that genuinely hates them? I feel like they are too egocentric, they only engage in topics they like, and often pry into other chats and steer the conversation to talk about their things. They also talk TOO much, and often don’t leave room for other people to chime into the conversation. It feels like they want to be the center attention in every topic. They don’t get none of our humor, so jokes end up getting awkward in their presence. The worst part is that they haven’t done anything particularly egregious, so I often have to reflect if I’m just a bad person shutting down someone naïve, if I’m projecting, or if anybody else even shares my thoughts.
