I (26F) annd my BFF (24M) work at the same company, I recommended him. I have worked there for a year now and he has been there for 4 months. He received a travel opportunity at the company which I am 100% happy for him. However I do feel robbed because I was working towards one for the entire year thought i was on the right path... I was trusted with a remote million $ project.. theyd asked if i would be open to travel which i said yes.. however i heard from my coworker my boss was not very keen on sending a female without someone he trusted and i was also young. However i feel like the decision to send my friend goes against his reasoning.
