Today I met up with an old friend + another girl. My old friend hasn’t been the same recently, ignoring me and prioritising her new friends. When she asked to meet up, I was genuinely looking forward to it. I spent weeks saving up enough money to go out and get dessert with them- financial situation isn’t great rn. Fast forward to today and both of them ordered before me, while I ordered last. I come back to the table and they’ve already started eating their dessert. I express my disappointment (in a joking manner) that ‘Oh! We didn’t take any photos’ hoping they would get the hint and take photos with me. They just shrugged and ignored me even when I tried again. I eventually let it go. After the meet up was over, I head over to instagram and see that my friend posted a story of her and the other girl with the dessert. I’m not in it because I was ordering while they took it. I know I’m not the most photogenic person but I just want someone to take pictures with me once in a while.
