I never actually wanted to take Science International. I only applied to prove I could get in—and I knew I could, 100%. My parents kept insisting I only wanted art because I was too stupid for science, so I decided to prove them wrong. I'd had my mind set on art for MONTHS, but their comments got to me so badly that I was doing VERY poorly mentally. A few weeks before the application deadline, I impulsively told my school counsellor I wanted science, applied without researching anything, and immediately forgot about it until I got accepted. Now I'm stuck studying fucking chemistry and maths in a programme I never even wanted. My parents use it as proof that they were right, and my spiteful, competitive ass refuses to give up because I HAVE to finish just to rub it in everyone's faces that I could do it. Do I want a career in science? Fuck no. I'm an art student at heart. I'm just too stubborn to let anyone think they were right about me.
