I wish people would just ignore me completely vs. making an empty promise that never ends up happening. The expectation that something positive might happen makes the inevitable letdown worse. My whole weekend, wasted, because I was expecting something to happen! But if no one had said anything at all, I could’ve just gone about my days… resting, enjoying my time by myself…
