In a dark corner, illuminated only by a fleeting light that vanishes in a flash, I notice how my shadow is always larger than my own figure recalling things I would much rather leave in the dark. It brings to mind wretched places that once appeared so beautiful, perhaps that is what left me dry and hollow. I no longer even cry out for help, knowing the echo would only return to my own ears. So, I continue to reflect, telling stories that they would tell while weeping, were it not for the fact that i am the one starring. I know that perfection leaves no room for evolution, but is it even possible for a soul darker than the very concept of darkness to change? May the light have mercy on me, for I know I would show none in return. —Mv
