I love when my anxiety or whatever the fuck I have is invalidated. Mom: "so what emotions do you feel??" Me: "I'm kind of stressed and anxious." Mom: "Okay!" Mom: "Just CALM DOWN just because I'm stressed doesn't mean you have to be." Me: "I can't just calm down." Mom: "it's not that hard" Me: "Some people process stress and anxiety--" Mom: "You don't have anxiety, stop telling yourself you have mental conditions you looked up on your phone." Me: "Anxiety is just the correct way to say anxiousness. I'm not diagnosing myself." Mom: "There's a reason your generation is called the anxious generation." Like why am I not allowed to use correct grammar, let alone have anxiety? As a preteen, so like obviously you can just invalidate this, but I am almost certain I have anxiety, but of course I'm not allowed to. So of course I can't tell my parents I want to kms. Of course not.
