I just wish customers would understand that I never intend to have an "attitude" or be "disrespectful". I wish they'd understand that my job is low staff and I have to work many positions ALL ALONE for long shifts. It's a grocery store and it's typically me playing cashier, trailer unloader, stocker and organizer, and auditor all at once and my corporate managers stay on my ass nagging me to get way too much done in a day that typically needs 3 to 4 people to get it done. Customers will never understand why I seem "mad" with my uniform dripping in sweat and arms full of pushing carts, pallet jacks, and dolly's all day with multiple scanners in my hand. Even with all this stress I still try my best to be nice and a "Good cashier". They'll never understand me but at least I try to understand when a minimum wage worker comes off as "mean". They probably been there for 13 hours or they're doing the job of 3 people.
