I feel guilty about writing about my mom like this, but I need to get it off my chest. It’s making me think suicidal thoughts, and making me feel like it would be better if I was dead or just somewhere else entirely. Since a young age my mom has made fun of my feelings, and how I reacted to things. I’m somewhat of a crybaby and my feelings get the best of me often in her presence. Every time she yells, scolds, or talks about sensitive topics around me I start tearing up and crying. Ever since I was young she would always tell me “Don’t show your emotions.” “Stop crying you’re fine.” “Why are you crying about such a small thing.” But I can’t help it, it’s like anytime I’m near her my tears just suddenly start streaming down my face, and my nose turns red, and I’m mumbling and trying to get my point across and then she says “Why do you keep crying, nobody will take you seriously if you keep crying. Why do you let your emotions out so much.” She can’t understand that’s how I function.
