I’m at my grandparents house on holiday. They grow lots of fruits and vegetables, their garden is bigger than the house itself. Lately my mental health hasn’t been great since im more comfortable at home and I have all my things and my art supplies. My grandpa keeps telling me to try his fruit. figs, watermelon, grapes, pears, plums etc. I would rather die than eat pears. Plums aren’t worth the effort to eat (I have braces) and i love grapes but his grapes just aren’t good imo. They’re not sweet, not crunchy, I just don’t like them. I usually say no to watermelon even though I love it since I just haven’t been in the mood. The only fruit I’ve really eaten are nectarines because I love them, but they’re not home grown. Earlier my mum wouldn’t take no for an answer and forced me to eat watermelon. I’m sensitive about my boundaries and it’s hard to set them so I nearly cried. I don’t know why my grandpa is so set on giving me things when I decline. If I say no he ignores it and continues.
