It is unbelievably stupid how much people joke about serious topics. I can't believe we don't feel a ounce of remorse in our words. I see comments joking about pedophiles, being racist, the Holocaust, being harassed/violated, etc. Even today, I was scrolling down the comment section, and some fucking idiot was joking and downplaying the Nanjing massacre (how's that possible?) Most jokes are like... so downplayed it's STUPID. Like the very words themselves have losted the meaning and hence it's power. When I go back to school, it's almost always the guys randomly spamming n-words despite being white or asian or something. It's almost as if these things are a JOKE...
