ok so I remember my parents got arrested before I started middle school and me and my brother were being neglected and both became extremely depressed and now I’m super into hygiene because I wasn’t able to shower for god knows how long. I remember my first shower since then, also my mom was detangling my hair since it got matted frequently and she left a cap of conditioner in my hair and never got to wash it out. I left it in for days because again, I wasn’t able to shower. I didn’t have anything but the clothes on my back really, the police took my devices that were in the car with us, we also went back to school shopping so I didn’t get anything. I had to show up on the first day of school wearing crocs and old clothes with my hair still matted. The smell of my body and my hair is was TERRIBLE. I was also being starved and my “uncle” taking care of us didn’t pay rent. We got kicked out and he said he didn’t want us anymore so we went to a foster family where they also mistreated us.
