I don't really know how to start this. It's just that my whole life I've been dealing with a lot of health problems that have been constantly ignored by my family till recently. I finally got medical attention starting two years ago and I had a spine and spinal cord surgery last year. My family always undermines my health, especially my mom. She tries to "one up" me or try to always convince me that she has it worse and that I'm ridiculous. It makes me extremely frustrated because with my therapist and doctors she puts on a face to seem sympathetic and she even cried during one of my therapy sessions and somehow made the session about her problems. My mother is a bigger woman while I'm the opposite. Anytime I complain about pain or feelings to her, she tells me it's because I don't eat enough. I definitely eat enough and rather healthy too, but she always makes it about my weight. I've never had body image problems before until she kept pointing it out. (I'm out of characters)
