My long distance best friend doesn't understand how privileged she is and idk what to do?? I love her with my whole heart and we've been like this for almost 10 years, but she doesn't understand that i can't just throw money around? she'll say she's struggling with money and then go out and buy/do stuff i couldn't fathom being able to do. I've been saving up to travel and see her but it keeps getting delayed because of bills and groceries and she'll mention that "it's not even that expensive". i know she doesn't mean it in a rude or mean way, she just can't grasp that i am legit struggling because she grew up in an upper class family, and her idea of "poor" is not buying fully organic food and owning one car instead of two. she even told me that i could just buy a house instead of renting because they're cheaper over there?? like yeah, maybe they are, BUT I STILL CAN'T AFFORD IT???
