As a woman, I have this weird internalized sexism towards other women. Whenever I see one in a position of power, my first thought is that she shouldn't be there or almost any man could do it better. If I see an intellectual woman just minding her own business, I think that she'll never really be as smart as her peers because she'll never care as much, even if they spend the same amount of time studying. The list goes on; if I see a guy care about money, he's trying to level up; but if a woman cares, somebody hurt her. By the way, I do not apply this thinking framework to myself; I'm mostly harsh on OTHER people and question their choices/qualifications/experience, but if it's me, I don't give it a second thought. This is all very weird to me because I was born and live in one of the most progressive cities in a first world country. I guess part of me is concerned other people secretly think this way, so I adopt an internal version of the same mentality to avoid surprises.
