Last year and the months leading up to my birthday this July my parents BOTH told me I can make myself an ig account, ofc I was excited and on my birthday made said account, my mom found it and was mad, when I told her that her and my dad both told me I could and gave me the ok months earlier she was pissed and was like 'No I didnt, you know I would never' she always does this shit and its fucking annoying, Today to draw my dad's attention away from herself she brought it up and he got mad and was looking for my account on ig I deactivated it not deleted it bc, I shouldn't have to be left out all over again at my new school, I just wanted to be included in pictures and gc with my friends, me not having social media heavily effected my chances at friends, anytime i try to explain my reasoning they both shut it down and are like 'friends aren't a real thing' or that 'I dont need these types of things' when they were around my age smoking, sneaking. And drinking 😒
