I hate how my family can’t seem to respect simple boundaries. I’m 14. I’m literally considered an adult already in most cases and yet they still treat me like I have no right to do things whatsoever. Today, I was complaining about my older sister placing her foot/feet on the foam I sleep in (since I usually sleep on the floor). I’ve told her countless times not to do so because I don’t want my foam stinking up. This has happened countless times and what do I get? I get asked what’s wrong with me. Is it really that hard to respect other’s boundaries? I’ve respected yours why can’t you respect mine. I get so frustrated to the point I cut myself. Right now, as I right this I’ve already done what I did. I hate how she had to point out my insecurities about smelling bad myself (even though I’ve already dealt with it unlike her). I hate it. I just want to feel like I belong. Somewhere where I feel appreciated and welcomed openly.
