My boyfriend and I met in Indiana at college, we dated for about 6 months before I graduated and moved home to Florida. He graduated the year after, both of us are trying to go to professional school but wanted to boost grades with a post bacc. He didn’t apply to mine in FL, stayed in IN. We have been together over 2.5 years, he’s now applying for dental and I med school, but during our gap year he wants a full time job. He’s gotten offers, I’ve encouraged him to come here (he is Korean and my family is here) but he’s accepting a job in Georgia. When I complain I don’t want to be far apart still, he’s told me it’s only 6hr drive vs our previous 16. I’m being ridiculous when I don’t put enough effort he says, and while I’ve explained I can’t move in bc of my religious parents, when I ask him about the prospect of getting married before school starts since he’s always told me it’s bc he doesn’t have a stable job, it’s still not stable enough and we should wait til end of dental school.
