I do color guard at my school for the marching band and there is this one girl that is older than me that has been talking bad about me behind my back. I'm the only guy in my color guard. She has said I'm only good because I'm a guy, thats why I get solos, I'm favorited for it, called me the directors lap dog, that kind of stuff. It just genuinely upsets me that someone is talking bad about me and saying I'm only good because I'm a guy when I practice almost every single day trying to be as good as possible so I am able to perform and show people that I'm good at the thing I love to do. I love being in color guard and it's one of the only things I'm good at. It just sucks to have someone play off all of the hard work I've put into this activity for me being a guy. There are a lot if stereotypes about guys in color guard and a lot of it is just saying they're good because they're strong. That has nothing to do with it and it just upsets me when people say that. Especially from my group.
