(If grammar is odd, it is due to my need to remain fully anonymous) It sucks living in a family with someone who is mentally handicapped. In my case, they do whatever they want and whenever anybody speaks up, the person speaking up gets in trouble or gets attitude from said parental figure. Parental figures always say that "they'll understand" my problems with the mentally handicapped member of the household, yet the second I open up, they shut down/blow off every single problem, blaming it on the fact that the mentally handicapped member doesn't understand. I understand that they don't understand, but that isn't my point, sometimes I just need to talk and get my ideas off my chest. I can't have any friends over as the mentally handicapped one will break stuff and throw a tantrum over it because they want attention from MY friends. My biggest issue is the fact that whenever I speak up, I always get a sharp/harsh response. It isn't my fault. I just want someone to hear my issues.
