I’m chronically ill and polyamorous. My wife is very high sex drive, and for 5 years, due to chronic pain and other health issues, I’ve been incredibly low sex drive. Recently, I moved into a house with my wife, her partner (also very high sex drive) and my other spouse, who is asexual. I have been getting healthier, and with that, I’ve been getting much higher sex drive, to an almost unbearable point. My wife and I had a talk and were able to level a balance of spontaneous sex and scheduled sex, which will be enacted in the upcoming week. The problem is that for the last three days, my wife and I have been putting off spontaneous sec for various reasons for the last three days, which is not a problem on its own. The bigger part is that her higher drive partner just returned from being out of town, and I’m having to sit here and listen to them have sex, while knowing that my wife pushed sex with me off to a vague later. I know she’s physically attracted to me, but it still hurts.
