I cannot understand people who choose to dine in at a restaurant and leave no tip. I understand a small tip if money is tight or if experiences was bad, but leaving nothing and then making sorry excuses about not having enough money is just shameless. If you don’t want to tip, order takeout or eat somewhere within your budget. You can still get your food that way. Serving you isn't volunteer work. Like everyone else, we are employees doing a job, and we have bills to pay. Ppl seem to forget that servers often earn below min wage and rely on tips as a significant part of their income. On top of that, many restaurants require servers to tip out other staff based on sales, meaning a table that leaves nothing can actually cost the server money. You're not the only person dealing with financial struggles. If someone spends their time taking care of your table, providing good service, and making sure you have a pleasant experience, the least you can do is acknowledge that effort.
