this isn’t really a rant, rather, me seeking an advice from people who are more experienced. long story short, this autumn i’m applying for a university as i’m graduating high school. if things work out, i’ll move to a major city miles away from my hometown. my major is Japanese language, literature and history, i’m going to learn this language almost from scratch. so, what’s my problem. a couple of months ago i was thinking about applying for a job as a tutor in history. my results are relatively good (91/100), plus my own tutor have told me that i’d make a good teacher as my level of knowledge is very high. however, right now i’m starting to doubt it as i’ll be in a new city i’ve never been to before, i’ll be studying a new and difficult language, plus i plan on socialising more and dedicating more time to my hobbies and interests (such as writing and etc), and i’m scared that i’d simply fail to manage all of this. do you think i should still try the job? or focus on my uni instead
