She tells me, "why aren't you doing/you should do [a bunch of things I already do/have been doing]" Then when I tell her I have been doing this thing, actually for a long while, she says nothing. She thinks she knows me, but I know that she only looks into the things that affect her image. When she finally finds something, she lectures and yells at me for not knowing how to balance shit and not applying myself enough. Can I be good enough? Can you just acknowledge things you don't hate about me? Can you at least pretend that you don't wish I was never born? I just want to be good enough. I don't know why the opinion of a woman who thinks poverty is a choice affects me so much when I have been lucky enough to be surrounded by people who support me, care, and are far more talented and knowledgeable than I will ever be. Every time I think I'll be able to get out of my depression, she pulls me back to the reality that there is no future for me. I will die a failure.
