I absolutely love smart people saying smart stuff, he hits the nail on the fucking head here. YT short -- Jordan Peterson -- The Dangerous Path of Living Without a Purpose As long as you have a purpose you can bear any how It is difficult though when certain parts of life just have no value proposition at the moment, or haven't for a long time. The how is not visible, the purpose isn't either, it is all a gamble for future potential, and that is dreadfully depressing to me I don't need to know that things will work out for 'good', I want to be assured that what I hope to achieve will be achieved, and not that I will become resentful for doing the good wise things now, and receiving nothing that I hoped I would, whilst society tells me I should be grateful for that which I have. There is very little I truly want to achieve in this life, for this life is but a small drop compared to the life after this, but I'd like it to be an enjoyable drop, not a bitter resentful one.
