I hate to be like "other people have it worse" but when my rich friend is saying he wants to take his own life because he's "fed up of living in poverty" because he doesn't have 6 figures in his bank account anymore, I think he genuinely doesn't realise how fortunate he is. He can afford everything he needs and more. He owns his own property now which is the only reason he doesn't have 6 figures in the bank anymore - he spent it on a property and now never has to pay rent there again. He goes on expensive holidays and cruises. Some of my friends, I have to lend money to them just so that they get to eat that day. If my rich friend is spiralling that much over how poor he thinks he is, he needs to see how other people live. He seems to think that everyone has lived his lifestyle and that his upbringing was the norm; wealthy is all he's ever known. But I tell him and days later he's forgotten.
