It's the holiday season, everyone's favorite time of the year except mine... The older I get the more I realize what is the point of these holidays? Why are we only showing thankfulness 1 day out of the year? Everyone's favorite thing to say to get you to come is "we aren't sure how long 'insert a family members name's' has left, you really should come this year." My grandmother didn't even live to see thanksgiving this year but i went up there every moment I had & spent time and showed thankfulness, made meals and sat around the dining room table JUST BECAUSE!!! I got to love and spend time with her And I'm so grateful I went up to TN during the winter-summer!! Because man if I only went up there for the holiday I wouldn't be able to forgive myself.... So why are we only having a Thankful dinner on November 26 every year? Then a month later we stretched ourselves thin again for CHRISTMAS DINNER with 4 different families again... Because "we want the family together"
