My friend lives with me. (3 years so far) I'm retired and handicapped on oxygen 24/7. I pay everything. He pays zero because he has no money. He does not have a job and right now cannot get one due to lost his wallet and all IDs. This is ok because he does a lot around here and I enjoy his company. I'm straight female. He's a gay male. However, when he doesn't like something, he gets verbally abusive. I never tell him what to do. Never. I didn't grow up with yelling, threats, etc. I don't know how to handle it. He's quick witted so if I say anything back he twists it. Once he gets going, he pulls out every single complaint he has about me, my cat, my family, etc. I feel stuck. I want him to stay because other than this we get along great. I want the verbal abuse to stop.
