I don't think i'll be good at customer facing job because i'm anxious to talk to people, even if its just one on one customer and dealing with one order at a time. I am afraid to say something wrong, unsure if I'll be able to handle the talk without pausing too long or not cutting it. Sometimes i feel like someone my age shouldn't be feeling like this on a job, but when I'm unsure of what to say I'd rather delay my response rather than backtracking what has been said, especially if I'll need to change my words later. Is this anxiety talking? Lack of social skills? If that's the case then it's a skill issue, I won't deny it. I know that the older figures in my life would have said "why are you confused with what you wanna say? Just say what you have to say," as if there has not been thousands flips in my brain to figure out whether my response would be polite and appropriate enough.
