I hate being a girl. I can't even put it into words. I don't hate women, I just don't exactly like being one. I don't think my family would ever accept me if I told them. I hate it when people talk about reproduction. I know it's a natural process, and sure it can be beautiful to some, but I just feel so weak vulnerable and disgusting when I remember what I am. My family will see it. I'm happy for everyone who feels happy with their body; the girls at my school who love to dress pretty, the guys who like to wear their shorts as low on their waists as possible, and everyone in between or outside of those categories who have found their joy. I hate looking in the mirror and seeing a girl's face. I feel so lonely and broken and horrible all the time. I cry myself to sleep, feeling guilty that I can't be happy with the able, perfect (by societal standards) body I was given. I can walk, I can talk, but I feel like my words just get stuck in my throat. All I can do is lower my voice.
