My coworker said she tries to jaywalk across this intersection right before the green light so you don’t have to wait for left turn, and I never do so I felt uneasy about it - plus I’m never in a rush to get to work and we were only a few mins away at that point. She suddenly bolts across and even though I see there’s a car, I thought they would be slowing down and ran a split second after her, only for the car to not have slowed down and so I stopped running and stood still on the crosswalk but with enough space for the car to go past me, but instead the car stops right in front of the crosswalk and the driver looks at me with hands open like wtf. So after the car stops a ft away from me I have to go around into the intersection and I’m so embarrassed like the entire intersection is watching me be a dumbass and almost die and for what? To save 30s?? We weren’t even running late. But i can’t even be mad at her because I’m a whole adult that decided to FOLLOW A FRIEND INTO TRAFFIC.
