What's something about school that gives you anxiety but adults just brush off? Well there’s so much stuff I don’t know where to begin. Let’s start with a fact. I suck at math. It’s not that I can’t do it. It’s just that my brain can’t understand it. Let’s forget that my math teacher never helps me. Second, state, and district testing. Why do you need to know how we’re doing based on that, just ask us. Also not to mention the extra stress and pressure put on us. And lastly, friends. Adults always try to just hand out solutions like giving out candy on Halloween. But it’s not that simple. When was the last time you asked if we were okay. School is hard, and it’s apparently “preparing us for the future.” The only thing it’s preparing me for is going to therapy when I grow up.
