Sometimes I look at people and wonder how they’ve kept jobs for so long? Like working at the most miserable places ever. It stings real bad because I’ve only had like two jobs I’ve enjoyed that I couldn’t keep (lost one to COVID and the other was temp). But like, how do you have your whole life at work? Don’t you long for something more? Like, don’t you ever want to have off days or maybe go to the beach someday, watch a movie at the theaters. Eat a good meal? Hang out with friends, family or yourself? How can anyone be happy doing this? How can everyone just grit their teeth and bear the weight of working multiple positions at a starting rate of pay with no time for yourself? No show you put on that you keep up to date with? No routine you do? Not even a weekly or monthly thing? How can you just be so obsessed with work? But at the same time, these people are all assholes anyway. They probably like living like that cause they’re miserable. I think I was a rich person in a past life.
