I've spent the last several years in an increasingly frustrating battle to try and produce my own indie project. I've always been somewhat fascinated with writing, and after spending some time bouncing between different friends' projects, I assumed I could succeed in doing something of my own. In the time since I made that decision, I've co-written three attempts at a pilot script, gotten together several teams and pitched the show dozens of times. And it still hasn't begun production yet. I can't tell what makes me more angry, the lack of progress, the need to advertise it just to keep momentum and interest alive, or the knowledge that my connections, though decent, are just too distant relations wise to lean on. Everything's gone horribly to shit. And I just don't know what to do. I don't want to quit this, but I've hit a brick wall.
