i think my teacher from like 3 years ago might have been trying to groom me but idk. the year before i had him he supervised a field trip my grade went on and in hindsight i remember him staring at me weirdly sometimes. when i had him as a teacher he told me that when he met me on that trip he was "so excited" to have me as a student. he would openly call me his favorite and give me special treatment. he also said weird things about other students and had like no boundaries. he'd joke around with students like they were his close friends. idk if it was grooming because he never tried anything physical or romantic and he hasn't tried to initiate anything since i had him and i haven't seen him since. it's just really weird looking back at what happened with a different lens now that im older.
