Honestly growing up I was raised with the mindset of don’t show your emotions, be cold, be nonchalant, my mom wanted me to not show emotions and to stop crying so much. Because I cry a lot, but honestly she makes me cry the most. It’s hard to get off my chest, and honestly I’ve never actually “vented” to an actual person I know, because I’m afraid of being seen as weak or incompetent. So here’s a short kind of poem to explain how I feel. “When I was younger I began building beautiful castle walls around me.. As I got older, the walls got bigger.. And as the walls got bigger the more I grew secluded.. Nobody could break through my walls, it was just me, myself, and I.. I had friends but I didn’t let anyone through my walls not even my “best friend”” I didn’t let anyone in, I hated the thought of showing myself to the world, whenever I showed interest in anything I would feel the need to hide it, keep it my special thing, and only mine. Even if someone begged I’d say no. That sums me up
