I haven’t ran in a long time and am previously recovering from a hamstring injury. I have been a sprinter and long distance runner for a very long time, well I haven’t ran more than 2 miles in a year since my injury. I ran 4 miles with people I know but have never ran with, and I for the most part know what I’m capable of, so when I finish seven minutes behind the first place, I become frustrated with my performance I have never stop so many times during a run before. I am so disappointed because I as an athlete hold my self high and people who don’t have the same experience and look to me knowing what I have achieved can’t stop mentioning me performing worse than them. And then they have the fucking nerve to ask me why I’m disappointed as if they don’t see me fucking limping. We as a group were supposed to train together for a marathon in feb but fuck that I promise to be better than them. I promise that I will train harder than I ever trained for a race and run sub 4
