Today I had a dentist appt scheduled and I had to wake up earlier than usual. I couldn't fall sleep as early as I would have liked and knew I'd be sleeping heavier than usual, so I set three alarms. I live with my boyfriend, who was also going to be asleep then and let him know before we went to bed. Next thing I know, I wake up to my dentist calling me about the fact that I didn't show up and asking where to bill the late fee to. I'm really confused at this point because I didn't hear a single alarm go off. My boyfriend wakes up to me on the phone and then after the call says he's sorry. When I ask why, he tells me it's because he turned off every single alarm I had set when it went off, tried to wake me up, and then fell back asleep. He agreed to pay the late fee because this would never have happened if it wasn't for him but I'm scared of being dropped by my dentist. I only have insurance through my parents and any place I've tried to go to that's new said it's no longer valid.
