It’s true what they say about forgiving, but having a hard time forgetting. It haunts you at 2 in the morning, on a perfectly normal day, thinking what shortcomings you had to deserve whatever happened to you. It leaves you with tears you didn’t know you still had, because for the longest time you have reassured yourself that you are okay. It hurts and it lingers and I wouldn’t wish it upon my enemies. The worst part is you cannot confide in anybody because nobody knows about it. So you sit in solitude, reassuring yourself once more, and praying to God that when you wake up it won’t hurt as much again.
