I’m scared and sad. I don’t have a job because the job openings are terrible, and what they’re offering isn’t nearly enough for me—because everything I earned at minimum wage went toward household expenses and credit card payments (credit cards that seem to never get paid off because we need them to put food on the table). I don’t want this to come across as complaining about my parents; I know why this is happening, and I used to give them my entire paycheck without complaint, but now that I’m unemployed, the financial strain is really starting to hit hard. My mom and my sister both work, and I constantly see how tired my mom is—it’s sad because I can’t help lighten her load. The new problem in our household turns out to be our dog (I love him so much), but he’s sick—he has an infection—and it turns out we don’t have the money (we can’t afford an ultrasound to pinpoint the problem, let alone pay for surgery later). God, I love You, and please forgive me if this seems like I’m taking Your blessings for granted.
