We went to the Adelaide Zoo for our niece's 5th birthday party. It was a shit show. $50 for adult entry, crowded, boring and my in-laws are generally boring, uncultured and miserable people. I eventually left the wife there and found a pub, had a decent meal and pint. I have zero regret in leaving..
