08/09/2026. I turned 18 this year, and I’ve never felt more hopeless than now. I don’t have a job; I don’t go to college; I can’t travel; I can’t buy a car; I can’t buy a house; I can’t become a psychologist; I’ll never be someone my parents are proud of; and I’ll never escape the painful truth about how useless I am. On the other hand: I’m still ugly; I’m still overweight; I’m still talentless; I still cause problems for everyone; I still get in the way; and I still distract myself from this agonizing reality that I am never going to get better. I don’t want to make it to 19.
