I made a new friend. And we have been getting along quite well. I don't really make many friends, mostly pleasant acquaintances. But he is a genuine friend. He's honest and kind. And the more I speak to him, the more I am realising that my life had so much struggle. My family tried to just brush it off, take it and shelve it away. I always felt like an imposter in life itself. I've just been told that everyone is different. And in a way just said that I am no different. I am still on the path of accepting I'm neurodivergent. And I feel like I'm doing it alone. My parents don't want to talk about it and my sibling treats me like a monster for not being the one they wanted. But he says such kind things about me. That I bright up the room. That I inspire him. How could I do that? I haven't told him everything. About the suicidal ideation. Or the attempt. What he says conflicts with what I've felt my whole life. That I'm just a drain and better off dead. I don't know what to believe.
