I wish I'd just dossed about in school and left education at 16. I stayed up so many nights trying not to fail my courses, for what? Just for employers to constantly reject me because I "don't have enough experience". Where am I meant to get this experience? There's hardly any entry level jobs available in my field. All the "entry level" jobs I've found require experience. And another kicker? I do actually have 7 years of experience in my field. But working for a small business with an even smaller budget, there's a lot I don't have experience in yet. I'm willing to learn. But that's not good enough for employers. No, they want someone who can do EVERYTHING perfectly NOW. I'm on less than £200 a week because my workplace's low budget means they can't afford to give me many hours. I know people who are able to get more than that in universal credit. My bf tells me my qualifications will come in handy one day. Yet he failed all but 1 of his GCSEs and still earns far more than me.
