Mark Lee, Canadian-Korean artist and former NCT (a K-pop group) member and now under a label he himself created and is the co-CEO, of has recently posted a picture wearing a T-shirt with the confederate flag printed on it. The company has since released a statement, stating that both the company and Mark reject racism, hate and discrimination and that it was a styling choice to wear that thing. I really want to believe it because that man's music really means something to me and he has never had any controversies like this before. I know him as a genuine artist and person but since he did spent most of his childhood and teen years in North America, he most probably knows what that flag means and what is stands for. I myself did not, I'm still in my early teen years, living in Europe. But I just don't understand why he would wear something like that. What excuse is there, other than not knowing about the meaning, which he probably did? I want to believe him, but this is not helping
