this is so not like a serious serious issue. literally first world problems im sorry. basically i work at a retail store that makes us try to get customers to apply for a card. if they apply and ARE APPROVED they get 30% off. Just that is already a bit annoying because what happens if they go through all the trouble to apply, waste a hard credit check, and don’t get approved? Us at the register have to deal with their emotions as the billion dollar corporation forces us to push more and ask customers multiple times. so today i had my first waitlist (which basically means the customer can’t get the discount because they applied but weren’t immediately approved). I keep thinking about this because i followed my script that they told us to (which is “your total right now is this, i can bring you down a percentage to this if you sign up for our card “ and literally he asked what if i have a low credit score and i said he should still apply. and he did and got rejected. i just feel bad.
